POLICE LOG for June 20: Theft At Wildwood Cemetery; Motorcyclist Issued Summons; Bear Sighting?

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, June 20, 2018:

  • A caller reported a deer was struck by a vehicle on Church Street. Deer ran into the woods, but later return. Animal Control Officer noted deer was “not well.” (7:33am)
  • 2-vehicle crash with airbag deployed in front of Post Office on Church Street. One vehicle towed. No injuries noted. (7:52am)
  • A Hathaway Road caller reported a chipmunk in her kitchen. (9:36am)
  • Police received report that solar lights were taken from a gravesite at Wildwood Cemetery. (12:29pm)
  • Police requested extra patrols in area of North Wilmington train station due to evidence of heavy alcohol consumption. (1:10pm)
  • A Sandy Lane resident’s dog dug up a rabbit nest. Resident was given wildlife rehabilitators and told to leash dog for time being. (5:21pm)
  • A caller reported he saw a black bear in the woods behind the softball field at Town Park (Aprile Field) on Main Street. (6:52pm)
  • Andrew C. Camillieri (24, Wilmington) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle In Violation Of License Class and Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Camillieri was involved in a motorcycle accident at Shawsheen Avenue and Lake Street. (9:36pm)
