POLICE LOG for June 19: Rhode Island Man Issued Summons; Needles Found; Jeep vs. Pole; False Alarm At Textron

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, June 19, 2018:

  • Police notified Tree Department of a large tree down across Blanchard Road, near Shawsheen Avenue. (7:16am)
  • Police assisted turtles in crossing across Woburn Street. (10:16am)
  • Animal Control Officer responded to a robin’s nest that fell out of a tree on Winston Avenue. A makeshift nest was made and replaced in the tree. Officer will check back. (11:41am)
  • A caller requested extra patrols in the North Wilmington train station parking lot as cars operated at unsafe speeds with pedestrians in the area. (11:42am)
  • CJ Almedia (19, Pawtucket, RI) was issued a summons for License Plate Number Violation; Uninsured Motor Vehicle; Unregistered Motor Vehicle; and Failure To Stop/Yield. (12:49pm)
  • A Lake Street resident reported needles were located at the end of her driveway. (2:37pm)
  • Fire Department responded to a false alarm at Textron building on Lowell Street. (8:58pm)
  • A red 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee struck two poles on Lowell Street. No injuries noted. RMLD and Verizon notified. (9:52pm)
