POLICE LOG for June 18: Rental Car Returned With Jars Of Marijuana; Explosion At Benevento

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, June 18, 2018:

  • Animal Control Officer assisted Missing Dogs Massachusetts with setting up cameras for a missing dog on Linda Road. (12:15pm)
  • Manager at Enterprise on Main Street reported a rental vehicle was returned with 2 mason jars of marijuana inside. (12:44pm)
  • Some sort of explosion took place at Benevento Sand and Stone on Salem Street. Unspecified injuries. Fire Marshal and OSHA were notified. (4:11pm)
  • Fire Department and RMLD responded to report of a wire on fire on Main Street. A small nearby tree branch was on fire. (7:48pm)
  • Police received report of an erratic operator swerving into oncoming traffic on Lowell Street. Vehicle got onto ramp for 93 South and nearly hit guardrail. Call transferred to State Police. (9:54pm)
