WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington’s annual Fun on the Fourth festival is right around the corner. WCTV will be there for parts of the long weekend and are seeking volunteers to help out.
Family Fun Day – Saturday, June 30th
This is going to be our BIG day, with live coverage all morning long from the Town Common. Interested in helping out behind the scenes or on-camera? Let us know. The more members we can get involved here, the better. And if you can only stop by for an hour or so, that’s OK! This is a great way to experience the action on the Common as part of the WCTV team.
*Note that we will be getting set up on the Common early in the morning. So if you’re an early bird and want to lug some gear out, sign up!!
Other Times That We’re Hoping To Have Coverage:
– Friday night is the kick-off evening with a Road Race and the Blueberry Pie Eating Contest
– Sunday evening is the Ladies 2-mile walk and the Hospital Bed Race
– Monday evening is the official Opening Ceremony at 7:30, followed by music and the fireworks at 9:30.
If you’d like to cover any of these for WCTV or be part of a staff-led crew, contact the station at 978-657-4066 or wctv@wctv.org to become a member (it’s free!) and receive any necessary training.
(NOTE: The above announcement is from Wilmington Community Television.)
