POLICE LOG for June 10: Truck Catches On Fire; Car vs. Tree; Man Passes Out On Main Street

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, June 10, 2018:

  • North Reading Police alerted Wilmington Police they received a call from one of their residents claiming to hear gunshots from the Shriners parking lot. Police determined the call was unfounded. (12:47am)
  • A black 2008 Nissan struck a pole and trees on West Street. Vehicle towed. No injuries noted. Driver was cited for speeding and marked lanes violation. (1:16am)
  • Police approached by a man who claimed to have passed out behind Rite Aid and could not find his property. Police had the man’s bicycle, cell phone, bottle of Vodka, and wallet which was found earlier in the day leaning against the wall in front of Rocco’s. (11:25am)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout at Mobil Gas Station on Lowell St. (2:37pm)
  • A pick up truck was on fire in a dirt driveway on Marion Street. Vehicle towed. No injuries noted. (4:10pm)
  • A Nassau Avenue caller reported damage done to a screen door/window over the past few days, suspecting someone may have attempted to beak-in. (7:22pm)
