POLICE LOG for June 2: Teens Fighting?; Driver Issued Summons; License Plate Stolen; Baby Squirrel Trapped In House

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, June 2, 2018:

  • A caller reported a hypodermic needle on the side of the roadway at Shawsheen Avenue and Manning Street. Police were unable to locate. (8:02am)
  • An Englewood Drive resident reported a lost/stolen license plate, taken sometime around May 12. (11:11am)
  • A passerby reported two teenagers fist fighting in a Main Street parking lot. Police responded. 4 teenagers were “just messing around” and are all friends. (4:48pm)
  • Police assisted an operator with moving turtle off the road at Concord Street and Lopez Road. (6:08pm)
  • Panagiotis Moraitis (27, Wilmington) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle with a Revoked or Suspended License; Marked Lanes Violation; and Registration Not In Possession. Moraitis was pulled over on Main Street and Wisser Street. (8:12pm)
  • A Lowell Street caller reported a baby squirrel was inside her home. Squirrel did not appear sick or injured. Police referred caller to Wilmington Wild Things. (9:42pm)
