POLICE LOG for May 30: Vehicle Rollover; Home Trashed; Syringes Found; Goose Crosses Highway; Turtle Troubles

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, May 30, 2018:

  • A turtle was struck by a vehicle on Middlesex Avenue and still alive. A turtle rescue group was enroute to retrieve. (8:13am)
  • Police installed 6 car seats during its weekly drop-in hours. (12:45pm)
  • A red 2017 Subaru Forester and a blue 2004 Honda Accord were involved in a crash on Fordham Road, resulting in a vehicle rollover was entrapment. Both vehicles towed. No injuries noted. (12:27pm)
  • Police retrieved two syringes on the side of the road on Boutwell Street. (12:30pm)
  • Police assisted the State Police with a goose attempting to cross the highway prior to Exit 41 on 93 North. The goose was able to successfully get across. (1:29pm)
  • A caller reported a large snapping turtle seemingly following her car in the Wildwood Cemetery. Caller instructed not to attempt to move the turtle and to continue driving. (5:09pm)
  • A Westdale Avenue caller reported his ex-girlfriend trashed his house sometime over the last few hours when he was not home. Caller did not want a response, but wanted the incident logged. (6:51pm)
  • A Cary Street caller reported two unfamiliar parties trying to crawl through windows of home across the street. Police responded. Parties are moving into house tomorrow. She put items in the shed and has not been inside the house. (10:25pm)
