POLICE LOG for May 18: State Police Makes Arrest; Driver Issued Summons; Gunshots?; Ducklings At Wilmington Plaza

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, May 18, 2018:

  • Police checked on a male party sitting on a guardrail on Main Street and Glen Road. Man checked OK. (1:31am)
  • Josue O. Posada-Dubon, of Wilmington, was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Signal. (5:19am)
  • Resident reported she heard 3 gunshots from the wooded area behind their house on Main Street. Police responded and deemed the call unfounded. Police told resident to call back if she hears anything else. (7:19am)
  • Police received report of ducklings weaving in and out of traffic in Wilmington Plaza lot. Caller escorted them out of harm’s way into the woods next to the bank. (11:14am)
  • State Police reported they had a routine traffic stop on 93 South Exit 41, near the Avalon complex, a male party took off on foot towards the Avalon complex. K9 and Airwing enroute. State Police eventually located man and took him into custody. (11:33am)
  • Animal Control Officer assisted Jere Road resident with animal in ceiling. (12:56pm)
  • A bird flew into a classroom at the Wildwood Early Childhood Center. Animal Control Officer called. (2:11pm)
  • Police, Fire and State Police responded to multi-vehicle accident prior to Exit 41 on 93 North. State Police handled scene. (2:38pm)
