POLICE LOG for May 17: Home Mistaken For Restaurant; Clay Mistaken For Drugs; Car vs. Motorcycle; Coyote Sighting

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, May 17, 2018:

  • Police responded to complaint of a coyote in a yard on Parker Street. Police were unable to locate. Animal Control Officer to follow up with homeowner tomorrow. (6:54am)
  • A Main Street caller reported 4 Hispanic males, dressed as laborers, stopped in front of her home. One of them walked up to her front door and tried to enter. Parties proceeded to walk towards Rocco’s.  Police responded. Detail officer reported he spoke with parties doing work at 30 Dewey Avenue who were looking for somewhere to eat lunch. He directed them towards Rocco’s.  Police located parties at Rocco’s. Parties claimed they mistook the resident’s house for Rocco’s. Situation checked OK. Police left a message for homeowner. (1:07pm)
  • A Richmond Street caller reported finding a bag on what he believes to be a Class D substance. Upon inspection, police determined it was a small package of clay. (4:15pm)
  • An anonymous caller reported ATVs and dirt bikes going up and down Mill Road.  Police responded and found no issue. (5:08pm)
  • Police and Fire responded to a car vs. motorcycle crash at Main Street and Richmond Street. Motorcycle towed. No injuries noted. (6:45pm)
  • During a check of Yentile Farm Recreational Facility, police located a group of people playing basketball and football. They were advised of park hours and sent on their way. (10:01pm)
