POLICE LOG for May 16: Needle Found; Fire Lane Violations At Town Hall; Hit & Run; Snapping Turtle In The Road

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, May 16, 2018:

  • An employee at CVS reported there was a male party in and out of the store that appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Police responded, but man had already left. Police spoke with Cumberland Farms employee across the street that said man got into an Uber and went home to North Andover. (1:51am)
  • Police received report of a delivery truck dropping off supplies at a King Street property under development. Police spoke with responsible party to request more reasonable delivery times by their contractors. (2:46am)
  • A caller reported a large snapping turtle in the roadway on Ring Avenue. Animal Control Office responded. Turtle made its way to a wooded area. (9:34am)
  • Police received report of a hit & run (property damage) at Triton Car Wash on Main Street involving a Red 2017 Ford Fusion. (10:26am)
  • Animal Control Officer removed a female party walking her dog at Yentile Farm. She was advised and sent on her way. (11:09am)
  • A caller reported finding a needle on the sidewalk on Salem Street. (11:30am)
  • Police issued 3 parking citations for fire lane violations at Town Hall. (7:37pm)
