WILMINGTON, MA — Thomas P. Coyne, Jr., age 69, of Wilmington, formerly of Charlestown, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 9, 2018.
Tom was the beloved husband of Susan E. (Broderick) Coyne, devoted father of Matthew R. Coyne & wife Courtney of Burlington, Andrew T. Coyne & wife Chantal of Wilmington and Meghan F. Coyne of Wilmington. Loving “Pop Pop” of Abigail Alice, Aubrey Frances, Parker Thomas, and Emma Rose. Cherished son of the late Thomas P. and Margaret (Tagen) Coyne, dear brother of Margaret Crowley & husband David of Melrose and Stephen Coyne & wife Nancy of Salem, NH. Tom is also survived by his mother-in-law Frances Broderick of Norwood as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Thomas proudly served in the U. S. Navy.
Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Monday, May 14th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday, May 13th from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Thomas’ memory may be made to the Boston Children’s Hospital Trust, 401 Park Dr., Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
