WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a recent Wilmington Little League game summary:
Single A: Cardinals vs. Giants on Monday, May 7 at Glen Road Fields
In front of an enthusiastic crowd, the Cardinals had a great game with Sean Theodos, Patrick Moriarty, & Matthew Norton among many contributing hits. Justice Eutsay and Brendan Cohen played great behind the dish, and Max Glazer and Spencer Walker played outstanding defense. On the hill Sean Theodos, Griffin Crowe, Joshua Lopez, Zach Maiella, and Tommy MacGilvray turned in great outings. Tommy MacGilvray also completed the Cardinals first double play of the season by snagging a line drive and making a great throw to Patrick Moriarty who grabbed the throw and stepped on the bag to turn two.
The Giants provided a great challenge, with top notch pitching performances all around great offense & defense. Max Snapausky, Jake Beldekas, Andrew Templeton and Mason Carr lead the charge on offense. Nate Ricciarelli, Brady Beldekas, and Cameron Banda were a big part of the solid defense in the field, while Parker Buck, and Parker Canevari caught a great game behind the plate. Devin DeGannaro and Mark Cataldo pitched like aces when the Giants needed them the most.
