WHS SOFTBALL: Wildcats Crush To Stoneham, 14-2

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington High School Varsity Softball team (4-2) defeated Stoneham by a score of 14-2 on Thursday, April 26 at Town Park in Wilmington.

The Wildcats rebounded from shoddy defense in their previous game as well as pounding the ball at the plate.

Dana Goulet (double, 2 RBI and 3 runs), Adele Burton (double, 3 RBI and 2 runs), Liz Gordon (RBI and run) and Ryan Bailey (2 RBI and run) all went 2-3 in the contest.

Antonia Kieran (2 RBI and 2 runs) and Ally Moran (RBI and 2 runs) had back-to-back triples to end the game by the twelve-run rule.

Kayla Bourrell batted lead off today going 2-4 with a stolen base.  She also made a heads up play by tagging up and scoring on an infield pop up.

Ally Moran had 12 strikeouts and struck out the side in the 3rd and 5th innings.
