POLICE LOG for April 17: Restaurant Vandalized; More Mailboxes Damaged; Parking Issues At Whitefield

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, April 17, 2018:

  • Police observed damaged mailboxes on Marcia Road. (12:38am)
  • Owner of Sunny Side Cafe on Jefferson Road reported her windows and doors were broken. Police responded and noted three panes were damaged. No other businesses appeared effected. (5:06am)
  • Police issued a citation to a driver for failure to stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk in front of the high school. (10:52am)
  • DPW is having trouble accessing the Whitefield field due to parked vehicles everywhere. There’s also an issue with vehicles turning around on the field. Police followed up with RMV regarding parking issues and came up with temporary solution. (1:26pm)
  • A caller reported a dirtbike traveling in the woods next to the playgrounds and fields at Town Hall. Police were unable to locate. (2:45pm)
  • A caller reported a mangled man hole cover on Fordham Road. Area has been coned and barreled. DPW will address tomorrow. (4:09pm)
  • A Marcia Road caller reported his mailbox was hit sometime overnight. (4:30pm)
