Dear Editor,
It is with great pleasure to write in support of Board of Selectman nominee, Jonathan Eaton. Jonathan is a dedicated, passionate and committed member to our community and it is with hope fellow residents will join me in voting Jonathan to this Board.
Our town thrives on volunteerism, dedication to the community and willingness to serve others. Jonathan not only embodies these traits, but is always willing to take on something new or step out of his comfort zone for the benefit of others. His perseverance to others makes his candidacy stand out to so many and I know this Board will be a continuation to his already impressive legacy to this great town.
I have witnessed Jonathan’s dedication and service to others through his commitment to the Wilmington Rotary Club where his leadership helped the club excel to new heights and continue its commitment to serving others. Jonathan encouraged fellow Rotarian’s to become involved in local and international projects by spreading the importance and mission of every individual project. He leads by example and is not afraid to put himself out there for the sake and benefit of others. One notable project includes the Polar Plunge event, a yearly event to raise funds to eradicate Polio and jump in the frigid water of Gloucester Harbor at the conclusion of fundraising. Jonathan not only supported the cause, but did his part by jumping in the ocean and encouraged others to do the same. His devotion to this event, among other commitments, such as the Wilmington Finance Committee, display his personal willingness to serve others.
Jonathan’s sense of leadership and commitment will inspire this Board to take on new challenges and advocate for the residents of Wilmington. He will not be shy about voicing his opinion and I’m confident he will always advocate with a thoughtful and proactive approach on behalf of the residents of Wilmington.
Please join me in voting Jonathan Eaton for Board of Selectman on Saturday, April 28th.
