POLICE LOG for April 11: Man Arrested After Chase; Hit & Run Involving Mail Truck; Neighbor Dispute

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, April 11, 2018:

  • Fire Department responded to alarm at Dunkin Donuts on Lowell Street. Alarm was set off by burnt food in oven. (6:40am)
  • A caller requested an officer retrieve 12-14 hypodermic needles in the area of Glen Road and Harnden Street. Police retrieved needles for proper disposal. (9:37am)
  • Police arrested Joshua Andrew Kivlehan (24, Lynn) on Trespassing and Using A Motor Vehicle Without Authority. Kivelhan jumped out the window of a Shady Lane Drive residence and heads into the woods. Police located Kivlehand near tracks on Jefferson Road. (10:00am)
  • Police observed landscaping company blowing debris onto Middlesex Avenue. Police stood by while company blew debris back onto Eastern Bank property. (3:14pm)
  • Resident reported ongoing dispute with Belmont Avenue neighbor over placement of leaf bags and yard waste. Neighbor continues to knock over leaf bags. Police spoke with both parties and restored the peace. (3:51pm)
  • A hit and run involving a mail truck took place in the Planet Fitness parking lot. Mail truck operator was unaware of the accident and later came to the station for paperwork exchange. (4:41pm)
  • Large pieces of wood with nails was found on Main Street, in front of the dog park. Police moved off to the side of the road and searched for more to the Woburn line. (6:29pm)
