WHS SOFTBALL: Wildcats Lose Season Opener In Heartbreaking Fashion

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington High School Varsity Softball team lost its season opener by a score of 6-5 to Woburn at Town Hall Park on Tuesday, April 10.

The loss was a heart-breaker as the Wildcats allowed 3 runs in the top of the seventh. An error and 4 straight hits gave the Tanners the lead and the victory.

Wilmington hit the ball hard all game, but unfortunately they were right at the Woburn players.

Kayla Bourrell and Ally Moran each had 2 hits in the game. Dana Goulet and Liz Gordon completed a nice double play in the contest.
