POLICE LOG for April 7: Vehicles Doing Donuts In Yentile Parking Lot; Dog Feces Thrown; Hypodermic Needle Found

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, April 7, 2018:

  • Railroad gates are malfunctioning on Glen Road. Police contacted Keholis. (12:56am)
  • Fire hydrant in front of building being demolished on Research Drive appears to have been damaged. Police notified Water Department. (6:15am)
  • A Butters Row resident turned in two boxes of ammunition for destruction. (11:15am)
  • A Somerville Avenue caller reported a neighbor told him another neighbor was throwing dog feces and yard debris in his yard. Police was unable to locate anything thrown into yard. (3:05pm)
  • Manager at Avalon Oaks West reported illegal dumping of electronics and trash in the property’s dumpster. Caller believes the culprit is a pick-up truck from Tewksbury. (4:11pm)
  • A caller reported a capped hypodermic needle located on Lawrence Street. Police retrieved item for disposal. (4:40pm)
  • A Wildwood Street caller reported a refrigerator is curbside in the area with its door open. Caller concerned a small child could be trapped. Homeowner repositioned refrigerator. (7:48pm)
  • Police received two calls of vehicles doing donuts in the Yentile Farm parking lot and kids yelling and swearing.  Parties denied doing donuts and claimed they were about to play soccer. Police told them the field was closed and sent the parties along. (10:11pm)
