POLICE LOG for April 6: Well-Being Check On Elderly Woman; Vehicle Lockout With Young Child Inside; Recycling Bin Missing

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, April 6, 2018:

  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout with a young child inside in Planet Fitness lot. (6:12am)
  • Animal Control Officer set up squirrel trap in Kiernan Avenue home’s basement. Squirrel was trapped and released. (8:38am)
  • Police notified DPW of broken sewer cover on Woburn Street. (10:05am)
  • A Glen Road resident just purchased home, has not yet moved in, and reported his recycling bin has gone missing. Police notified DPW. (4:03pm)
  • A caller requested an officer respond to CareOne at Wilmington to take a report regarding a potential assault that occurred earlier in the week. (5:11pm)
  • A caller reported her vehicle has a flat tire and she plans on leaving her vehicle in the Congregational Church parking lot overnight. Police informed her that she’s in a private lot and the owner could have her vehicle towed at their discretion. (9:03pm)
  • Police received a 911 call from resident at Meadow View Assisting Living in north Reading, requesting police check on her 93-year-old mother at her Wilmington home. Caller claims her mother disconnected a phone call and fears she is dead. Police responded. Mother checked OK. (10:07pm)
