POLICE LOG for April 2: OUI Arrest; Bad Crash; Lost Vape Pen; Suspicious Man

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, April 2, 2018:

  • Animal Control Officer received a deceased beaver on Lowell Street. (8:21am)
  • Police notified DPW of construction debris on Ballardvale Street. (8:40am)
  • An Ainsworth Road business owner reported a vehicle in the lot was possibly damaged from a delivery truck. (9:00am)
  • Police notified DPW of a sewer cap off on Brattle Street. (9:45am)
  • A white 2001 Jeep Cherokee and a black 2005 Honda CRV were involved in a crash at Woburn Street and Federal Street. Fire Department transported 2. 1 Vehicle towed. DPW notified to spread sand in area due to fluid in roadway. (11:05am)
  • Herbert C. Harriman, Jr. (61, Haverhill) was arrested for OUI Liquor; Marked Lanes Violation; and Negligent Operation Of Motor Vehicle. Harriman was arrested on Richmond Street. (11:47am)
  • A Roberts Road resident reported a white male wearing a brown coat, red gloves, and backpack walked up her driveway and looking into her car. Suspicious man is now with neighbor. Police responded. Man was a Comcast salesman. Checked OK. (6:50pm)
  • Police was out with a vehicle near the train station on Main Street. Parties were trying to find a lost “vape pen” in the roadway. Police sent them on their way. (9:40pm)
