WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, March 30, 2018:
- Andres Costales (41, Boston) was arrested on a warrant. He was picked up on foot near the Woodbriar Nursing Home on West Street. Police disposed of a hypodermic needle at the station. (12:36am)
- Police notified Mass Highway that between 2am and 4am, the countdown for the crosswalk at Main Street and Lowell Street randomly activates. (3:11am)
- A walk-in party with no shirt and one shoe spoke to the station officer. Fire Department was called in for an evaluation. The party’s father was contacted. (5:24am)
- Frederick A. Sands (68, Woburn) was issued a summons for Shoplifting By Asportation. Police were notified that the Market Basket manager had Sands detained in his office. Sands was trespassed from the store. (4:39pm)
- A juvenile reported finding a set of keys in the snowbank on corner of Gandalf Way and Glen Road. (4:59pm)
- A Dartmouth Avenue resident reported he and his wife may be part of a puppy chow fraud. Police investigated. Residents aren’t victims. They’re somehow receiving someone else’s dog food orders. (5:31pm)
