POLICE LOG for March 29: Missing Dog Rescued; Injured Puppy; Injured Hawk; Vehicle Vandalized; Teens Fighting?

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, March 29, 2018:

  • Kevin J. Gearin (63, North Andover) was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation Of Motor Vehicle and Miscellaneous Motor Vehicle Equipment Violation. (2:34pm)
  • A Kendall Street caller wanted documented that he is receiving strange calls on his phone bill and wanted it logged. (10:00am)
  • A walk-in party reported his vehicle was vandalized overnight on Somerville Avenue. (11:15am)
  • A Boutwell School employee reported an injured hawk on the fenceline. Hawk left by the time Animal Control Officer arrived. (12:28pm)
  • Keolis employee reported an injured small brown dog by the tracks between Glen Road and Salem Street. Animal Control Officer retrieved dog, contacted owner, and brought to Mass Vet Hospital. (12:31pm)
  • A 4-month-old yellow lab got stuck in a fire poker holder on Hamlin Lane. Dog’s leg was freed with the assistance of the Fire Department. Owner brought dog to Mass Vet. (3:11pm)
  • Wilmington Police assisted Tewksbury Police in taking in a suspect in a domestic assault. (4:48pm)
  • A caller reported 3-4 kids look like they were fighting in the Rite Aid parking lot. Police checked residence and spoke to an involved party and his parents. Party said his two friends were just joking. (8:20pm)
