WILMINGTON, MA — Duncan H. MacLeod, age 84, of Wilmington, formerly of Reading, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2018.
Duncan was the beloved husband of the late Judith (McLaughlin) MacLeod, devoted father of Carol MacLeod of Andover, MA and David MacLeod & wife Carrie of Windham, NH. Loving “Papa” of Anne H. and Katherine E. MacLeod. Cherished son of the late August and Gladys (Harriman) MacLeod, dear brother of Isabel Walker of Palo Alto, CA and the late Jean Davis of Whidbey Island, WA. Brother in law of Jill Hennigar and her late husband Dana of Reading. Duncan was fondly known as “Uncle Mac” to many cousins, nieces and nephews who survive him.
Duncan proudly served in the U. S. Navy and was a retired member of the Board of Directors at Reading Cooperative Bank.
Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Wednesday, April 4th from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will take place on Thursday, April 5th at 12:00 noon in the Forest Glen Cemetery, located at the Corner of Forest Glen Road and Pearl Street in Reading, MA.
In lieu of flowers donations in Duncan’s memory may be made to the Winchester Hospital Foundation, 611 Main St., Winchester, MA 01890.
