CASTINE, ME — Lauren McKenna, of Wilmington, recently completed her degree requirements at Maine Maritime Academy.
McKenna graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology and an Associate of Science degree in Small Vessel Operations, as well as a USCG license as mate of vessels not more than 200 gross tons, Near Coastal (200 miles offshore).
She earned Dean’s list several times and was captain of the Women’s Soccer team.
A native of Wilmington, McKenna graduated from Wilmington High School in 2013.
She recently accepted a position in her field at Muscongus Bay Aquaculture, Inc.
