POLICE LOG for March 26: Wilmington Man Arrested For OUI With Child In Car; 4 Teens Nabbed For Possession of Alcohol

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, March 26, 2018:

  • Police was out with a suspicious vehicle in the Rite Aid parking lot. Operator was homeless and will be heading to work in Woburn around 6am. (2:34am)
  • Oscar Hernan Menjivar (26, Wilmington) was arrested for Child Endangerment while OUI, Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle, Reckless Operation Of Motor Vehicle, Marked Lanes Violation, OUI Liquor, Furnishing A False Name/SSN, and Refusal To Identity Self/False Name. A caller reported she was behind the white 2017 Chevy Tahoe from Shawsheen Street/Main Street intersection, which driving approximately 3-5 MPH and swerving. Caller stated the vehicle pulled into school on Carter Lane and dropped child off. Police caught up and arrested Menjivar on Cater Lane.  (6:51am)
  • Animal Control Officer had a busy morning — removing a dead skunk on South Street, squirrel on Grove Avenue, possum on Burlington Avenue, and rabbit on Aldrich Road. (9:29am)
  • A walk-in party reported ongoing fraudulent activity on credit card and bank account. (3:17pm)
  • A McDonald’s customer called police to report four teens inside the restaurant using vulgar language. (4:40pm)
  • Police notified DPW of a storm drain collapse on Williams Avenue. (5:03pm)
  • Daughter is reporting her mother’s ring is missing from Woodbriar Nursing Home. (5:17pm)
  •  Four teens were issued summons for being in possession of alcohol. A caller reported four underage passengers were consuming alcohol in a vehicle in a parking lot on Clark Street. Police stopped vehicle and confiscated 3 Bud Lights, 1 Corona, and a bottle of fireball whiskey.   Mother of operator responded to scene and took possession of vehicle. (5:24pm)
  • Police received report of a male party looking through vehicles with a flashlight on Avalon Drive. Police were unable to locate. (11:32pm)
