WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, March 23, 2018:
- Police came across a suspicious person in front of the nail salon next to the RMV. Party was a volunteer with Missing Dogs Massachusetts, looking for a recently lost dog. Checked OK. (1:19am)
- Brown 2012 Honda CRV and green 2006 Toyota Highlander were involved in a crash on the onramp to 93 South at Route 129. State Police handled scene. No injuries. One vehicle towed. (5:44am)
- Valerie S. Lavoie (39, Reading) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle with a Revoked Registration. (7:08am)
- An employee at Pacific Packaging on Industrial Way reported a hawk inside the building. Hawk escaped by the time Animal Control arrived. (7:46am)
- A Benevento truck spilled gravel on Salem Street and the 93 North onramp. Company notified for cleanup. (9:26am)
- A walk-in party located a small amount of Class D brought in to the station for destruction. (12:44pm)
- A caller reported a white male in his 20’s with a bandage on his head trying to hitchhike on Main Street. Police unable to locate. (2:45pm)
- Police placed John Amaro Gearty (31, Cambridge) into protective custody. (6:27pm)
- A walk-in party reported issues with previous homeowner’s son listing house for sale on Craigslist. (8:15pm)
- Police received report of multiple people arguing in McDonald’s parking lot. Vehicle left with driver possibly intoxicated before police arrived. Wilmington notified Billerica and Tewksbury. (10:23pm)
