POLICE LOG for March 21: Dog Bite; Suspicious Vehicle; Loud Idling Tractor Trailer; False Alarms

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, March 21, 2018:

  • Police received report of a dog bite that occurred on March 17. Owners voluntarily surrendered dog to MSPCA. MSPCA was made aware of bite. (10:08am)
  • Police reported a car ran over a mattress waiting for disposal on Wildwood Street. Police told resident to contact Russell Disposal for pick-up. (12:44pm)
  • Police installed 7 car seats during its weekly drop-in safety seat hours. (2:00pm)
  • A West Jamaica Avenue caller reported a vehicle has circled the area three times, possibly looking at a trailer on the property. (3:35pm)
  • Fire Department to telephoned fire alarm at Douglas Avenue home. False alarm. (5:01pm)
  • Police responded to burglar alarm at West Street home. False alarm. (6:17pm)
  •  A First Avenue resident reported a tractor trailer was idling loudly in a lot nearby. Police spoke with driver and advised him to move to rear of lot, away from residences. (8:06pm)
