POLICE LOG for March 14: Police Respond To Threats; Tow Truck Involved in Hit & Run; Kids Throwing Snowballs At Cars

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, March 14, 2018:

  • A company representative from Symbotic on Research Drive came to the station to report layoffs would be taking place today beginning at 8am. (6:32am)
  • As Good As It Gets owner requested an officer speak with his manager regarding a catering van that was hit sometime overnight. (8:08am)
  • A resident reported her usual plow driver cannot plow her driveway, concerned if a home aid will be able to make it inside. Caller was referred to DPW to see if they can assist. (8:35am)
  • Train crossing arms were stuck down in the Salem Street area. Train was stopped, blocking roadway, while Keolis fixed gates. (10:29am)
  • A Pouliot Place caller reported the curbing on the edge of his driveway was struck by a plow. Police notified DPW. (2:51pm)
  • A caller reported while driving on Glen Road, a group of kids threw snowballs at her car. Police were unable to locate the kids. (4:02pm)
  • Manager of a Main Street business contacted the Police Department about text messages received by a recently fired employee. (4:47pm)
  • A caller reported her vehicle was struck by a tow truck at Andover Street and Jonspin Road. The truck continued on without stopping. (7:31pm)
  • A caller at Pacific Grove reported a male party threatened to beat him up. Police responded, spoke with parties, and restored the peace. (7:32pm)
