POLICE LOG for March 10: Malicious Vandalism At Yentile Farm; Driving On Wrong Side Of Road; Injured Hawk; False Alarms

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, March 10, 2018:

  • Police received report of a suspicious vehicle in the Ella Avenue area driving very slowly and taking pictures.  Police responded. Driver was a juvenile prepping for his driver’s test. (12:14am)
  • A 2-vehicle crash took place at Burlington Avenue and Main Street. Fire Department called due to a small child in one of the vehicles. No injuries noted. Neither vehicle towed. (12:18pm)
  • Police reported damage to grass area at Yentile Farm. Tire marks appear to have been from a truck. Classified as “malicious vandalism.” DPW and Public Buildings notified. (12:27pm)
  • Animal Control Officer brought an injured hawk to Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts. (1:26pm)
  • Elizabeth A. Toner (47, Wilmington) taken into protective custody. Toner was transported to Winchester Hospital after manager alerted police to an intoxicated female at Rocco’s. (1:28pm)
  • A caller reported a deceased deer on the side of the road on Shawhseen Avenue. Animal Control Officer will pick up later. (7:03pm)
  • Police received erratic operator driving on the wrong side of the road on Middlesex Avenue and Salem Street. Police notified Tewksbury Police. Tewksbury Police pulled over. Driver passed a field sobriety test and was sent on his way. (8:14pm)
  • A Glen Road caller reported he sees someone walking behind a house, carrying items out. Police responded. Owner of the residence was moving out. (10:49pm)
