Happening Today:
Weather: Scattered snow showers, mainly between 11am and 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Light west wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Wilmington Public Schools: Each school has an early release so teachers can engage in professional development (CIT).
In The Community: The Officer Sean A. Collier Memorial Fund will be hosting a fundraiser for its Boston Marathon Team — “Team Collier Strong” — at the Four Oaks Country Club (1 Clubhouse Lane) in Dracut from 7pm to 11pm. Learn more HERE.
In The Community: The Shawsheen Tech Orientation Leaders and Debi’s Dance Studio of Wilmington are co-sponsoring an event to raise money for the Rise Against Hunger organization and the Good Samaritans (suicide prevention). The event, “Dinner, Dancing, and Theatre from the HEART,” will take place at the Shawsheen Valley Technical High School Cafeteria, and doors open at 6:00 PM. Students from the Culinary Arts program, assisted by Culinary Arts instructor Joseph Williams, will serve a pasta buffet dinner, promptly at 6:30 PM, and the performance portion of the event will begin at roughly 7:15 PM. Audience members will be entertained by Debi’s Dance Studio competition dancers, as well as Shawsheen Valley Technical High School singers and poets. In The Community: The Shawsheen/West PAC is holding its 5th Annual Trivia Night from 7pm to 11pm at the Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks (777 South Street). Tickets are sold out.
