READING, MA — Wednesday night’s storm caused significant tree damage which has resulted in many area outages, downed primary wires, and downed services. At the height of the power outages, there were over 2,200 customers affected. As of 7pm on Thursday, March, approximately 1,200 customers remain without power. Restoration efforts for these customers are expected to continue into tomorrow afternoon/evening.
RMLD is prioritizing responses based on public safety. Mutual aid crews and contractors are on-site assisting with the repair and restoration efforts. Please check RMLD’s Twitter Feed for current area outage information. Updates will be posted as they become available. Please minimize phone calls to RMLD to emergency situations only so that staff may ensure phone lines are available to take emergency calls. RMLD thanks its customers for their patience as work continues to restore power.
