WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a round-up of what’s going on in Wilmington on Saturday, March 3, 2018:

Happening Today:

Weather: A slight chance of snow showers before 9am, then a chance of rain showers. Cloudy, with a high near 40. North wind 14 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

In The Community: Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) will host a firearm and knife show, featuring 500 tables, on Saturday, March 3, 2018, 9am-5pm, and Sunday, March 4, 2018, 9am-3pm. Participants can buy, sell and trade sporting, antique, and collectible firearms; custom and high quality knives; and various militaria. The general admission fee for adults is $12. The event is hosted by New Mart Promotions of Massachusetts and promoted by the NRA-affiliated Westchester Collectors Club.

In The Community: 6th, 7th and 8th grade students living in Wilmington are invited to join the Wilmington Youth Center and enjoy being part of a community that offers a safe place to hang out with your friends and have fun! The Wilmington Youth Center, located inside Villanova Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue), will be open every Saturday night, from 7pm to 9:30pm, from November 25, 2017 to March 17, 2018. Registration costs $40 per child or $80 per family.  Registrations will be accepted on Saturday nights during the season. In The Community: The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less!  Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library.

In The Community: The Wilmington Food Pantry (142 Chestnut Street) is open from 10am to noon for food donation drop-offs. Learn which food items the Pantry is most in need of HERE.

GOOD LUCK to the WHS Lamplighters Drama Guild performing “Radium Girls” at the METG Festival Preliminary Round at 2pm at Westford Academy.

GOOD LUCK to the WHS Girls Varsity Basketball team taking on Lynn Classical at Lynn Classical High School at 3pm in second round playoff action. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students.
