POLICE LOG for February 28: Needles Found At Town Park, Suboxone Wrapper Found On Shady Lane, Dog On Train Tracks, Injured Turkey

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, February 28, 2018:

  • A caller reported an injured turkey in the roadway on Ox Bow Road. Animal Control Officer responded. All the turkeys went back into the woods. (8:27am)
  • A resident requested an officer retrieve suboxone wrapper in front of her Shady Lane Drive home. Officer spoke with caller and retrieved wrapper. (9:04am)
  • A Shawsheen Avenue caller reported her vehicle was entered sometime overnight. A change purse and $4-$5 was taken. (9:12am)
  • Jose L. Torres Martinez (29, Warwick, RI) was arrested on warrants. A caller reported a white box truck on Route 38 had a rear cargo box leaning dangerously to one side. (10:09am)
  • A caller reported excessive amount of hypodermic needles in the area along the bridge at Town Park. Officer responded and retrieved several needles. (11:37am)
  • Amtrac reported a dog was on the train tracks near Glen Road. Animal Control Officer retrieved dog and brought to Tewksbury Best Pets. (1:46pm)
  • John A. Stone (39, Wilmington) was taken into protective custody. Police received report of a possibly intoxicated male at Shell Gas station asking for flammable objects. (6:17pm)
