POLICE LOG for February 23: 18-Wheeler Attempts To Cross Butters Row Bridge; Wilmington Man Issued Summons; Stolen Plow Located

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, February 23, 2018:

  • A gray 2016 Mazda MX5 drove off the road on Concord Street. Vehicle towed. (3:33am)
  • A CVS employee reported an iPad was found in a carriage outside the store. Party that turned in the iPad matched the description of the person who took a child’s iPad from a CVS carriage last week. Police spoke with person who claimed he found it last week and is unsure why he did not turn it into CVS on the day he found it. (8:35am)
  • Gregg Whitney (39, Wilmington) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle with a Suspended or Revoked License. (2:14pm)
  • Woburn Police requested check of Towpath Drive residence for a 9-foot plow stolen from Cummings Properties in Woburn. Police located plow and contacted Woburn Police, who responded. (4:51pm)
  • A passerby reported an 18-wheeler attempting to go over Butters Row Bridge on Main Street side. Vehicle now backing up. By the time police arrived, vehicle was gone. (5:20pm)
  • Resident dropped off unwanted medications to station. Mediation drop box was full. Station officer took the medications for destruction. (7:25pm)
