POLICE LOG for February 20: Car vs. Motorized Scooter; Wilmington Man Issued Summons; TJ Maxx Evacuated

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, February 20, 2018:

  • Animal Control Officer had a conversation with a Lawrence Street resident regarding complaints of feeding wildlife. (7:35am)
  • Caller located ammunition in the Shady Lane Drive house they’re tearing down. Caller requested an officer come to retrieve. (8:19am)
  • Employees at TJ Maxx reported a strong odor of gas in the back of the building. Store evacuated. Fire Department responded. No issues found. (9:06am)
  • Marrek V. Panzarino (25, Wilmington) was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle and Speeding In Violation of Special Regulations Posted. Vehicle was pulled over on Salem Street. (12:25pm)
  • A caller reported she reported she observed a male passenger punch a female operator while at a red light. Male continued to yell at female and was now parked in front of Metro PCS. Police responded and spoke to occupants and caller. (2:00pm)
  • A Federal Street resident reported an animal was in one of her trash barrels and she was afraid to look inside. Animal Control Office responded. Two deceased squirrels were removed from recycle barrel. (3:46pm)
  • A gray 2010 Toyota Tacoma struck a motorized scooter at Main Street and Richmond Street. Scooter driver was transported by the Fire Department to Lahey Clinic. DPW removed scooter from home and dropped off a man’s home.  Man’s son was notified of the accident. (4:30pm)
  • Fire Department vehicle struck a dog on Woburn Street en route to the hospital. Dog ran off. Animal Control Officer was unable to locate. (7:25pm)
