POLICE LOG for February 18: Wilmington Man Arrested For Assaulting Police Officers; Car Slides Off Road

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, February 18, 2018:

  • A Brown Mercury Sable slid off the road at Woburn Street and Greatneck Drive and struck a street sign. Tow truck winched vehicle off lawn. (7:22am)
  • A Lowell Street caller wanted it logged that an oversize truck ripped the cable and telephone wires out of the side of his house this morning. (8:39am)
  • Gail M. Poirier (47, Malden) was arrested on Warrants; Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License (Subsequent Offense), Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended Registration (Subsequent Offense), and Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Poirier was pulled over on Lowell Street. (2:05pm)
  • Andrzej Holowenczak (53, Wilmington) was arrested on two charges of Assaulting A Police Officer and Resisting Arrest. No additional information provided. (3:35pm)
  • A tree fell on power lines on Marion Street. Tree Deptartment and RMLD responded. Police provided detail. (10:16pm)
