POLICE LOG for February 17: Baby Left Unattended In Vehicle; Small Child Wandering Neighborhood

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, February 17, 2018:

  • A motor vehicle rollover took place on the 93 North Ramp at Exit 39. Fire Department transported one with unspecified injuries. Two vehicles towed. (8:54am)
  • A concerned citizen was concerned about people out on the ice on Silver Lake. Police responded. Small group of adults ice fishing. (11:28am)
  • A caller reported a small child was walking around the Shady Lane neighborhood. No answer at residence that child identified as theirs’. Police responded. (12:12pm)
  • A caller reported a baby was left unattended in a vehicle parked outside Olympia Sports. Police responded. Child not in distress. Mother returned from store. Mother said she could see child from store and left unattended for about five minutes. Police advised her. (5:23pm)
  • Police pulled over a Pizza Mia delivery driver for marked lane violation. Police spoke with operator, who checked OK. He was driving without a GPS.  Police advised him to drive more carefully. (7:30pm)
  • Police assisted resident with a motor vehicle lockout on Second Avenue. (11:19pm)
