WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, February 7, 2018:
- Police removed a locked box and ammunition from a Ballardvale Street house that the owner wished removed. (1:04am)
- Police notified DPW that a small sinkhole was forming in the northbound lane of the trench at Ballardvale Street and Avalon Drive. (1:37am)
- Police arrested Daniel Joseph McCarthy (28, Wilmington) and Annelise Hanlon (30, Scituate) because each had an outstanding warrant. Police were alerted to suspicious parties walking by Chili’s and McDonald’s on Main Street. (11:03am)
- Police notified Mass Highway of a large part hole in the southbound lane of Main Street, near Town Park. (11:18am)
- A truck struck a tractor trailer on Ballardvale Street. Airbag deployment. No injuries noted. Truck towed. (12:30pm)
- Police advised King St. resident he’s not allowed to shovel snow into roadway. (5:35pm)
- A calling party reported she sold her car to her brother, who has failed to pay her the total agreed upon amount. Police advised her it was a civil matter and referred her to small claims court. (8:28pm)
- A Cunningham Street resident reported footprints on his property that lead to his front and rear windows. (9:37pm)
- Police arrested Nicholas Evan Belanger (21, Tewksbury) on a warrant. Wilmington Police courtesy booked and transferred party to Tewksbury Police. (9:40pm)
