POLICE LOG for February 1: Intoxicated Customer Causes Scene at Restaurant; 12 Parking Tickets Handed Out; Cruiser Involved In Crash

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, February 1, 2018:

  • Police notified the Water Department of a water main break on Aldrich Road. (1:08a)
  • A caller reported a grey and white pitbull was running in and out of traffic by Silver Lake. A second caller reported the dog owner’s took possession of the animal. (5:09am)
  • A caller reported a vehicle followed her sister-in-law from East Boston to the Woodbriar Nursing Home on West Street. Police spoke with all parties involved. Driver was an insurance investigator. (12:25pm)
  • Police issued 12 parking citations in the MBTA Parking Lot on Main Street. (2:21pm)
  • Police cruiser was involved in a 2-vehicle crash at Glen Road and Brattle Street. No injuries reported. (2:39pm)
  • Police responded to a burglar alarm at Santander Bank. A pipe burst and was pouring through the HVAC unit. Fire Department cut the water supply. Alarm company and key holder on scene. (8:40pm)
  • Bartender at Red Heat Tavern reporting an intoxicated party was causing a disturbance and refused to leave via uber. His keys were taken away. Police returned party to station lobby to wait for a ride. Restaurant management allows party to keep car in lot overnight. (8:40pm)
