POLICE LOG for January 30: Reports Of Missing People; Speeding Crackdown In School Zones; Scams & Threats

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, January 30, 2018:

  • An 18-year-old was reported missing by his father, but returned him shortly thereafter. (1:03am)
  • A caller reported his father left home around 9am on Monday and hadn’t returned. Son called back to report his father was located at Plainridge Casino. (3:17am)
  • A vehicle struck a wall on West Street and drove off, with hazards on. Police located vehicle in Windsor Place parking lot.  It had suffered minor damage. Operator called AAA.  Operator and police returned to scene, noting no damage to wall or anything else in area. (7:06am)
  • LaRosa’s owner received emails for large food order and recognized it to be a scam. He wanted the incident logged and will block sender with provider. (12:15pm)
  • Police cited several drivers for speed on Boutwell Street and Wildwood Street. (1:34pm-2:45pm)
  • A Main Street resident reported an unfamiliar vehicle blocking her driveway. Police spoke with vehicle owner.  Vehicle belonged to home health aid at nearby residence. Owner moved vehicle. (3:46pm)
  • A walk-in party reported he’s receiving threats after selling an amplifier on Facebook. (9:30pm)
