POLICE LOG for January 28: Trucks Racing; People On Silver Lake; Couple Walking On Train Tracks

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, January 28, 2018:

  • Police issued a summons to Javier Delos-Santos (35, Jamaica Plain) for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Speeding In Violation Of Special Regulation Posted And Absolute. (1:52am)
  • Police received calls about man on Silver Lake. Man was using a drill to ice fish. Ice appeared thick enough to support him. (8:18am)
  • Masonic Lodge has water in basement and no water pressure. Police notified Water Department. (8:22am)
  • Police received call about adult pulling two small children on sled on Silver Lake. (10:11am)
  • Police advised two parties on Woburn Street they cannot walk on train tracks. (12:13pm)
  • A caller reported a white pick-up truck and black pick-up truck were racing on Border Avenue and Breed Street. Police responded and advised both drivers, who then left area. (1:20pm)
  • A caller reported an erratic operator swerving over the yellow line on Shawsheen Avenue. Police caught up with driver at residence. Driver checked OK. She was tired and had forgotten her glasses. (8:41pm)
