POLICE LOG for January 26: Wilmington Police Help Find Missing Tewksbury Girl; Erratic Operator Pulls Into Bar; Syringe Found

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, January 26, 2018:

  • A caller reported an animal was struck in the center of the road on Lowell Street, near Burger King, and appeared to still be alive. Animal Control Officer responded and removed a deceased rabbit. (5:47am)
  • A caller reported their bank card was fraudulently used at the Target in Wilmington. (7:49am)
  • Police notified DPW of a large, deep pothole at Ballardvale Street and Avalon Drive. (9:24am)
  • Cathy H. Ober (Wilmington, 44) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With Suspended or Revoked Registration and Having An Uninsured Motor Vehicle. (9:28am)
  • Police dispersed a group of youths from the railroad tracks and sent them on their way near Carter Lane. (10:18am)
  • Police issued a driver a citation for speed and a Junior Operator’s License violation on Glen Road. The driver’s three juvenile passengers decided to walk home. (2:29pm)
  • A caller reported he found a syringe while on his walk on Shawsheen Avenue and Hopkins Street. Caller pick up the syringe with gloves and stated he has a safe way to dispose of it.  He wanted the incident logged. (5:12pm)
  • Police received report of an erratic operator, swerving and driving excessively slowly on Main Street. Caller reported he crossed town line into Tewksbury.  Wilmington Police contacted Tewksbury Police. Vehicle was last seen pulling into Maverick’s Bar in Tewksbury. (10:07pm)
  • Tewksbury Police requested Wilmington Police check a location in town for a missing female juvenile.  Juvenile was located at location and parents came to pick up daughter. (11:08pm)
