POLICE LOG for January 25: Issues At Burger King & McDonald’s; Needle Found; Jackhammer Missing

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, January 25, 2018:

  • A caller requested to speak to the Animal Control Officer regarding an ongoing issue while walking her dog in the area of Marion Street and Mill Road. Caller stated that two ladies that also work their dogs are unable to control their dogs on a leash. (6:22am)
  • A 3-vehicle crash occurred at Middlesex Avenue and Adams Street. No injuries. Two vehicles towed. (9:41am)
  • A party reported a needle up against a curb on Boutwell Street. Police retrieved needle and brought back to station for destruction. (10:47am)
  • A male party was panhandling for money inside an unnamed Main Street business. Police located the party at the train station. Party got on a train inbound to Boston. (12:02pm)
  • A caller reported a deceased cat in the roadway at Burlington Avenue and Deming Way. Animal Control Officer responded. (3:46pm)
  • A caller reported that sometime today around 11:30am, a small pellet carrying a jackhammer fell off his truck while traveling from the Shriners to Billerica, somewhere on Church Street, Main Street, or Route 129. (4:23pm)
  • Manager at Burger King on Lowell Street reported incident with an employee earlier in the day. Manager attempted to write up employee for using phone and eating while on duty. Employee refused to sign the write-up. Manager then asked employee to leave.  Employee kicked over 5 trays of bread, making them unusable. Employee was irate and cursing, but did not make any threats. (6:44pm)
  • A caller reported a black Jeep Cherokee did 4 laps around McDonald’s, yelling and throwing things. Police were unable to locate. (8:19pm)
