POLICE LOG for January 15: Police Assist With Search For Billerica Robbers; Hit & Run; Pothole Problems

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, January 15, 2018:

  • A caller reported occupants of a light gray Volvo at Speedway on Main Street may be involving in drug activity. Police responded and spoke with occupants.  No drug activity observed. Police advised the occupants of the state’s idling laws and sent them on their way. (11:12am)
  • A caller reported several deep potholes in the northbound lane of Main Street, creating traffic hazards. Police measured one of the holes as 4 feet in diameter and 6 inches deep.  Police notified the State Highway Department. (2:31pm)
  • Police received a BOLO on two robbery suspects who robbed a gas station at 221 Andover Street in Billerica and was last scene heading towards Shawsheen Avenue. Police were unable to locate. (3:10pm)  Police found a car matching the description at Tremezzo on Lowell Street. Vehicle, however, belonged to a waiter and was unrelated to the incident. (3:35pm)
  • A caller reported he was just involved in a hit and run at Glen Road and Middlesex Avenue. The other vehicle — a dark sedan — did not stop. Police were unable to locate. (5:53pm)
