WILMINGTON, MA — Have you procrastinated a bit on your New Year’s Resolutions year? Does signing up for a gym activity not sound like fun to you? The Wilmington Rec. Dept. might have the perfect solution for you! We are offering two different dance classes that will work your body out while your mind is too busy having fun!
The ‘Dance Sampler‘ classes incorporate several different musical styles such as jazz, ballet, lyrical and hip hop. This is a perfect opportunity to explore several types of dance so that you see which style suits you best. The ‘Dance Sampler‘ classes will be held Mondays, Jan. 22 – Mar. 5, no 2/19, 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
The ‘Beginner/Intermediate Tap‘ will teach and develop basic tap steps and combinations that will challenge dancers regardless of your experience or ability. Both of these classes are recreational in nature, so the main objective is to have fun, while physical activity and exercise is an added benefit. The ‘Beginner/Intermediate Tap‘ classes will be held Thursdays, Jan. 25 – Mar. 8, no 2/22, 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Both classes are 6 weeks long and cost $52.00 each. To register, call the Department at 978-658-4270, visit https://www.wilmingtonma.gov/recreation and click the ‘Register Now’ button, or stop by Town Hall in Room 8. The Department is open Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
