POLICE LOG for January 13: Wilmington Man Arrested For OUI; Pot Hole Causes Damage To Vehicle

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, January 13, 2018:

  • Steven M. Murray (46, Wilmington) was arrested for OUI Liquor; Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle; and Possessing Open Container Of Alcohol In Motor Vehicle. Murray was involved in a 2-vehicle crash at Main Street and Burlington Avenue. (1:57am)
  • A caller reported a pot hole at the intersection of Lowell Street and Woburn Street. Police notified DPW, who notified the contractor.  The caller said he might have undercarriage damage due to the pot hole. (6:41am)
  • A box truck clipped a tree, causing it to fall and blocking the roadway across King Street. DPW responded with wood chipper to remove debris. (12:59pm)
  • A mailbox on Bruning Drive was struck by a vehicle. (1:09pm)
  • Police notified DPW that street sign for Presidential Drive was missing. (3:32pm)
  • A caller reported he accidentally struck a parked car with a cart in a Lowell Street parking lot. Vehicle’s operator got out of the car and pushed him. Police were unable to locate operator.  Caller did not wish to press charges. (6:41pm)
