POLICE LOG for January 9: Man Arrested For Spray Painting; Dog Stuck In Snowbank; Frozen Pipe Problems

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, January 9, 2018:

  • Street signs for Bernstein and Pomfret were knocked over and laying in the snowbank. Police notified DPW. (1:35am)
  • A Carter Lane resident reported she was not receiving any water flow in her house. Police notified Water Department, which suspects a frozen pipe. (2:37am)
  • DPW reported water pouring from front of house on Burnham Street, filling roadway with water. There was a broken pipe in a ceiling. (8:48am)
  • Caller reported a dog got stuck in a snowbank on Main Street. Police and Animal Control Officer responded. Dog was freed and returned to owner. (10:42am)
  • Richard A. Valenti (28, Peabody) was arrested for tagging. Valenti allegedly was spray painting the salt shed on Federal Street. (11:11am)
  • A 2-vehicle crash took place in the Starbucks parking lot. One party was transported by the Fire Department. One vehicle towed. (3:20pm)
