WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, January 4, 2018:
- North Reading Police called to report an intoxicated male on a bike in the Salem Street area. Police located male. Fire Department was called in to do an evaluation. Fire Department transported man and police brought the man’s bike to the station. (12:33am)
- An anonymous caller reported a male party riding a snowmobile on the roadway on Congress Street and Forest Street. Police were unable to locate. (10:35am)
- Fire Department responded to microwave fire on Sprucewood Road. (11:34am)
- Wilmington Police was following a vehicle all over the road on Shawsheen Avenue. Police stopped vehicle in Tewksbury. Tewksbury Police responded. Operator was driving with his glasses fogged up and could not see the lanes properly. (6:34pm)
- Police had conversation with Salem Street resident about dumping snow in the street. (7:01pm)
- DPW driver reported a Wilson Street resident struck his loader with a shovel during an argument. (8:16pm)
- A tree fell on wires on Clark Street. Police shut down street. DPW and RMLD were notified. (8:24pm)
- A Marion Street resident reported a red pick-up truck with a plow pushed snow onto her driveway around 30 minutes ago. When her husband approached the vehicle, he smelled alcohol and questioned the operator, who left. No plate was given. Operator was described as a male between 50 and 60, with a mustache. Police were unable to locate. (9:49pm)
