WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, January 3, 2018:
- Police issued a parking ticket for violating the parking ban and interfering with snow removal on Ferguson Road. (2:23am)
- A Glen Road caller reported that at different times during the night and day, trains going through the area are making her house windows shake. Caller states its not all trains, just some. Police gave caller the MBTA’s phone number. (10:26am)
- An anonymous caller reported a driver was possibly using drugs in a vehicle in the Target parking lot. Police were unable to locate. (10:32am)
- A caller reported a large piece of roofing equipment was taken from the roof of Pacific Packaging on Industrial Way sometime overnight. (1:14pm)
- The Housing Authority reported a past breaking & entering into a vacant house on Cary Street. (1:40pm)
- A caller reported there was hypodermic needles on a manhole cover near a path at River Street and Harvard Avenue. Police recovered 5 needles and returned to the station for destruction. (4:19pm)
- Rite Aid Manager reported a male, approximately 30 years old, stole a winter hat from the store. Police caught up with the male walking on Richmond Street. Man took hat because he was cold. Rite Aid did not wish to press charges. Hat was returned. Man was advised of the consequences of shoplifting. (4:32pm)
