POLICE LOG for December 30: Smoking Train Tracks; Wrong Way Driver; Car vs. Tree

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, December 30, 2017:

  • Fire Department responded to car fire on Route 93 South, near Exit 48. (12:44am)
  • A caller reported the train tracks were smoking on Main Street. Police confirmed with Keolis that this was due to the tracks’ heaters being turned on. (11:07am)
  • Police issued a written warning for operating the wrong way and marked lanes violations on Route 125. Driver was not impaired, just not familiar with the area. (5:03pm)
  • A car struck a tree before the Route 93 South Exit 41 ramp. State Police Department handled the scene. (5:24pm)
  • A caller reported a red mini-van was taking pictures of houses on Roberts Road. Police were unable to locate. (7:59pm)
  • Resident reported that four parked cars are blocking the end of Lords Court. Vehicles were eventually moved. (10:40pm)
  • Fire Department responded to odor of gas in the basement of a Washington Avenue home. (10:56pm)
